The Critical Reading SectionThere are three Critical Reading sections on every SAT test. There are two types of Critical Reading questions: sentence completions and passage-based questions. The sentence completions test a student's vocabulary; however this is not vocabulary that a student learns in school. It is a very select amount of vocabulary words and we at SuperScore have worked hard to ensure that we give our students the best vocabulary list possible. This is a sample question: |

This question assumes that students know the definitions of certain words, and SuperScore has developed a master list with all the key words that the SAT test uses.

The passage-based questions require students to analyze a text and choose the answer choice out of many seemingly correct ones. Most students find these questions to be especially difficult because there is no cut-and-dry answer for the questions. Oftentimes, two answer choices can both be correct, and the student must choose the more correct one. Students who have not been trained with SuperScore's method may become bewildered and make a random guess, but we teach our students to refer back to the text for specific information with a methodical technique.

There are three mathematics sections on every SAT test. There are two types of mathematic questions on this test including multiple choice and fill in the blank.

In high school students learn algebra, geometry, and some even go as far as to learn trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus. The SAT mathematics section does not test a student on any of these subjects specifically. Instead, questions are usually complex word problems that require students to integrate the skills learned in algebra and geometry to find the answer.

This is a sample question:

This is a prime example of how the SAT assesses its test takers. The question is convoluted and requires the student to think beyond the classroom.

The team at SuperScore, after taking every single test released since 2005, has developed a strategy to help students solve these problems. This technique has been used and has gotten students perfect scores in these sections.

**The Writing Section**

Writing was introduced to the SAT in 2005 and it has three sections on every SAT. There are two sections with multiple choice questions and one essay. The multiple choice sections test a student on seven key aspects of grammar and repeatedly uses these aspects to challenge the test takers.

In this question the SAT is testing a student on verb agreement, one of the seven key aspects of the SAT writing sections. SuperScore has mastered all seven aspects of this section and can help students solve

The writing section also has an essay section; however this is not a typical essay. The College Board, the creators of the SAT, spend about 1 minute reading every essay. How can a grader read an essay in just 1 minute? The grader is looking for a few specific details and SuperScore has developed a formula and if followed the student is guaranteed a score of a 10.
